Since 1929, the original, Beck Funeral Home serviced the Pilot Point, Tioga, and Aubrey communities. The Funeral Home was founded by R. J. Beck. In 1952 the funeral home moved to its present location. After he died in 1954, his wife, Marie, provided excellent leadership to keep the funeral home growing. January 1974, Mrs. Beck sold the funeral home to Charles Huff and in 1980 changed the name to Huff Funeral Home.

In January 1986, Mr. Huff sold the business to Luther Slay. Mr. Slay later sold the funeral home to a large funeral service corporation. In 2007, the funeral home was purchased by the Lucas family. As with the other two locations in Denton and Aubrey, the Lucas family has brought back the personal attention and dedication to Denton County. Huff/Slay Funeral home remains one of the areas oldest businesses. Our home town staff welcomes any questions you may have.
